Overview of Magpul AR-15 Stocks

Once Magpul had established itself with it’s line of magazine pull assist loops, the company expanded it’s offering to include stocks for the AR-15.  The first Magpul stock was the now discontinued M93 stock.  After 3, or so years of manufacturing the M93, Magpul developed a precision oriented stock, the Magpul PRS.  From here, Magpul has expanded their AR-15 stock line with several different models, each catering to a different aspect of the AR-15.

The AR-15 stocks offered by Magpul are known for their excellent fit and finish, as well as their durability.  Many of the adjustable AR-15 carbine stocks feature Magpul’s friction lock.  This friction lock acts to tighten the stock against the receiver extension.  This, in turn, acts to reduce the dreaded AR-15 stock wobble and the audible rattle at it can sometimes be accompanied by.  This gives your rifle a much more sturdy feel that most people tend to enjoy.

Additionally, Magpul also includes a rubber butt pad on several of their stock models.  This rubber butt pad is a nice addition.  It allows for the stock to remain more firmly situated in the shooters shoulders by acting as a slip-resistant surface.

Whether you are looking for a lightweight economical stock that will get the job done, or a fully tricked out stock with all of the features you could ask for, Magpul has the perfect stock for you.
