Overview of the Lucid P7 Combat Scope
After Lucid had proven itself as a quality optics manufacturer, many users became to send in request for them to build a fixed power, battle ready, combat optic. Being true to their customers, the team at Lucid began their thorough development of a new combat optic that would have a ton of features and a low price. The P7 underwent heavy research and development stage that lead to the offering of a great product that you will be thoroughly impressed with!
The heart of the P7 rifle scope is it sturdy aluminum frame. Lucid uses a cast aircraft grad aluminum alloy to form the frame. Once formed, the frame is further protect by a chemical rubber house, which is similar to the rubber housing found on the HD7 Red Dot.
The P7 is powered by a single AA battery. This AA battery was chosen as the power source since it is readily available just about anywhere you go. The AA battery will provide you with approximately 2500 hours of “on target” illumination.
The New P7 Reticle
The Reticle used in this rifle scope is a brand new design. This P7 reticle give you fast target acquisition and also has an integrated MOA measuring tape. The primary purpose when designing this reticle was to give the user a reticle that would allow for fast target acquisition while also allowing for more precise hold overs and Kentucky windage without becoming overly cluttered. The P7 reticle gives you an 80MOA hold over aiming point without having to adjust your elevation.
The P7 has an integrated mount that will allow it to be firmly attached to a Picatinny rail. The mounting system has reversible mounting pins, which can be a useful feature when using this optic on bullpup rifles where the charging handle may be in close proximity to the scope mount.
