Made for Use
Like all Daniel Defense products, this adjustable butt-stock was made to be used and survive in harsh environments. The stock is primarily composed of a proprietary blend of fiber glass infused polymer. This gives the stock impact resistance and makes it extremely durable while remaining light weight, at around 0.5-pounds.
One of the stand out features of the Daniel Defense Stock is the rubber over-molding. This soft touch rubber is placed in strategic points to maximize shooter comfort and functionality. One of the location of the rubber over-mold is on the cheek piece. This makes for a very comfortable cheek rest. It also helps to get good traction and prevent slippage.
The designers at Daniel Defense took great care to ensure that the stock would have a quality feel to it. One of the elements tat helps a stock feel great is reducing the wobble between the stock and the receiver extension/buffer tube. The inlet of the Daniel Defense Stock is precision formed for a mil-spec receiver extension/buffer tube. This ensures a snug fit to your rifle with very little play. This negates the need for a friction lock or other tensioning device and gives your rifle a solid, well build feel.
The stock comes with two rubber butt pads. The stock can be run with either of the two supplied pad or with no pad at all. The package comes with a 0.8” convex shaped pad, as well as a 0.5” concave pad. Based on user preference, you may decide to use either one.
The stock has several integrated sling mounting points. The stock has a limited rotation QD sling swivel socket on either side of the stock. Additionally, the stock does have some slots that can be used to directly thread a sling through.
