The MS1 Adjustable Slider
This sling is built around the slider, manufactured by Magpul. The MS1 slider allows you to quickly and securely loosen or tighten down your sling. The slider is extremely well made and as been designed to no slip once set in place. This means no accidental sling length changes while you are in action. The slider is extremely simple and easy to use. It does not have a tail, loop or other device commonly seen on other slings, as these things an become snag hazards. The MS1 sling starts off life as a dedicated two-point sling. In it’s raw configuration, the MS1 give you a very reliable sling that can handle rapid shoulder transitions and can be quickly configured to tighten down to hold the rifle against your body securely, so that you can use both of your hands for whatever task you encounter. However, for those looking for something a little different, Magpul has a series of adapters. These adapters allow you to add on ParaClips and QD swivels to allow you to configure the sling exactly how you need it.
Made to Work Hard
Magpul is well known for making products that work under all conditions. The MS1 sling does not disappoint in this regard. The sling is overbuilt and designed to survive harsh environments. The team that put this sling together chose materials that would be able to withstand the harshest of environments. The sling has been tested with tens of thousands of wet and dry cycles. This has been done on both wet, dry and sandy conditions. In addition to this, to ensure that the tensile strength was adequate, and the slider was up to par, the sling was subject to a 72-hour static load test, as well as 6’ drop tests. The sling was able to pass these tests without any breakage or slippage in the slider. Whatever you plan on doing with this sling, Magpul has made sure that it is durable enough to handle the challenge.

The nylon webbing used in this sling is 1.25” wide. The nylon chose for the MS1 sling is extremely strong and resists wear. Additionally, the nylon has anti-chafing properties to ensure user comfort. The hardware used by the MS1 sling is formed for a heavy duty polymer. This allows the sling to remain light weight while being extremely capable. The sling weighs in at just 6 ounces and has a slider adjustment range of 10”, allows it to accommodate a variety of users and situations.
