The BattleLink Minimalist stock from Mission First Tactical is one of the light adjustable carbine stocks on the market. The concept and design for the stock came about by getting input from real world shooters that want a stock to be as light as possible while maintaining the necessary functionality. The result is the MFT Minimalist stock.
Although small and lightweight, this stock was made to the durable and withstand hard use. The stock is primarily made from an impact resistant military grade polyamide.
The stock is a simple drop-in replacement for your current carbine stock. This stock is compatible with commercial-spec diameter buffer tubes.
The minimalist stock has several features that make it very comfortable to shoot. The rear butt plate of the stock has a rubberized butt pad. This butt pad has several functions. It acts as a slip-resistant surface that will better keep the stock in place during firing. In addition to this, the rubber butt pad will also absorb impact, should your rifle be dropped. The butt plate is angled, and not purely vertical. This allows for a more natural shoulder mount and facilitates fast presentation. The front of the toe on the stock has also been angled in. This facilitates shoulder-to-shoulder transactions by helping to minimizing snagging on your clothes or gear.
The MFT Minimalist stock also makes sling integration easy. This stock has a QD sling mounting point that is position in the centerline of the stock. Due to the positioning, this sling mounting location is compatible with both left and right-handed shooters.
The NRAT version of the Minimalist stock has added paracord. Approximately 8-feet of paracord is attached to the stock in braided fashion. This enhancement only adds approximately 0.5 ounces and greatly enhanced your capabilities. In addition to providing you with versatile paracord, it also makes the stock more snag resistant. Further, the paracord can act as a barrier to protect the locking release latch, in the event your stock is dropped.
