The new Streamlight TLR-6 was custom designed to be mounted onto the Glock 42 and Glock 43 pistol. This module gives you a distinct tactical advantage by providing you with both a LED illuminator, as well as a red dot aiming laser device. This unit easily attaches to your pistol and greatly enhances your capabilities in low light situations.
The TLR-6 was designed to be mounted onto the Glock 42 and Glock 43 pistol. The integrated mounting unit clamps onto the trigger guard of the pistol. The mounting system is extremely rigid and will be able to stand up to repeated recoil and other hard use.
The Streamlight TLR-6 is equipped with a C4 LED illuminator. This light emitter gives you 100 lumens of white light. This light can greatly aide you in identifying your target as well as maintaining situational awareness. The light has 2,000 peak candela and a 89m beam distance to help you illuminate even distant targets. The LED is surrounded by a parabolic reflector. This reflector provides an excellent balance of center beam throw and illumination, while also providing you with a wide spill to help illuminate peripheral areas.
The TLR-6 unit incorporates a 640-660nm red laser. This laser can be used as an excellent aiming device in low light situations where using your iron sights may be extremely difficult. To ensure that you hit your intended target, the laser is able to be zeroed for both windage and elevation. This adjustments can be made via a adjustment screw in a brass bushing. These set screws are firmly held in place to ensure that they properly hold zero.
The light and laser unit is powered by two CR1/3N lithium batteries. These batteries are included with the unit. The batteries will give you 1 hour of run time with the LED or the LED & laser on. With only the laser activated, the batteries will give you 11 hours of run time. To increase battery life and prevent accidental battery drainage, the TLR-6 is equipped with an auto-shutoff feature. After 10 minutes of usage on any of the modes, the unit will automatically power off. This is done to conserve batteries to ensure that your light and laser will power on when you need them to.
To make things easier and more convenient, Streamlight made the battery compartment very accessible. The battery compartment can be accessed while the unit is mounted onto your Glock. So, when you need to change batteries, you do not need to worry about re-zeroing your laser or having to go through the mounting process again.
The TLR-6 was designed to be used under stress. With this in mind, the designers made the activation process for the TLR-6 to be simple and easy. The unit has ambidextrous switches to turn the unit on located on both sides of the unit. These switches allow you to easily access any of the three available modes, including laser only, light only, or a laser and light combination.
The TLR-6 was designed to be used in the real world. The unit is encased by a durable, impact resistant power. The unit is sealed and has a IPX4 water resistant classification. To ensure durability, the unit was test by a 1m impact resistance test during development to ensure proper function. The unit is rated to operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -20 to 120 degrees fahrenheit.
