SilencerCo is a very innovative company that is constantly looking for ways to improve up what has already been established. The Trifecta flash hider is a perfect example of this.
The SilencerCo Trifecta flash hider is designed to serve as a quick detach mount for the Specwar suppressor. The flash suppressor has an integrated threading and ratchet system machined onto it’s external surface. This allows the user to have one hand on and one hand off capability with their Specwar suppressor.
Silence is Golden
With SilencerCo making some of the finest suppressor available on the market today, it is no surprise that they pay particular attention to sound. The three-pronged design is a relatively common one when it comes to flash hiders. However, another item that is common with these three-prong flash hiders is a distinctive pinging sound when firing. When a rifle equipped with a typical three-pronged flash suppressor, the prongs resonate off of each other, having an effect similar to a tuning fork. Seeing room for improvement, the designers of the trifecta flash hider wanted to do away with this somewhat annoying pinging sound. The solution was simple; make the prong unequal in length. You may notice that prongs on your flash hider are not even. This is by design. By having differing length, the prongs are not able to reverberate, hence, they no longer produce the annoying pinging sound. For a demonstration, watch the video below.
